Biomethane Injection

The feed-in of biogas methane to the natural gas Grid

Biogas can be upgraded to biomethane and injected into a gas grid.  The feeding of biogas into the natural gas grid is an efficient energy solution, even if the sites in which the gas is to be applied are far away from the sites at which it is produced.  Gas feed-in is facilitated via a compressor, a device raising the pressure level of the biomethane to that of the gas in the closed pressurised lines of the Grid.  This can be the national high pressure gas transmission Grid or a local low pressure gas distribution network.  To be used in the gas Grid, the biogas needs to cleaned of impurities, dried and upgraded to a higher methane content (> 95%) so that it resembles the qualities of natural gas.  This approach is already being used in many countries including Germany, France, Austria and the USA.

Our injection plant is the product of more than 40 years of know-how applied in a cost effective manner to optimise gas production.  As of date of publication, our Nm³ produced costs less than half of the competition with little or no maintenance.  Other benefits are:
